Lacamas Lake Trail

My mother in law Diana will be visiting with us for the next week and today we decided to take the kids on a hike along the Lacamas Lake Trail a few minutes from our house. We did a total of just over 3 miles, which if you know me you know that's something to be impressed with. The weather was perfect and we got to see some amazing scenery and killer homes bordering the lake and golf course(JEALOUS). We had a bit of excitement on our last 1/4 mile when Ian passed under a large tree he heard a cracking and turned just in time to yell at the girls to run. This 10+ foot "widow maker" branch fell right out of a tree some 30 feet up. Ian estimated it weighed about 40 pounds but it was impressive how fast our little soccer players moved and followed directions!
