Last night for dinner I decided to try two new recipes. The first was from my friend Alisha for Borracho Beans, the second was from my step sister for Fry Bread. The beans were a simple recipe using the slow cooker and they smelled wonderful cooking all day. I however, removed the seeds and membrane from the Jalapeno pepper so it didn't have any kick whatsoever and were a little bland for me. The second recipe was okay as well. It looked and tasted like Fry Bread but it was lacking something from the Fry Bread we all enjoy at the fairs. I will be trying both recipes again soon with more kick for the beans and something else in the Fry Bread...maybe Cinnamon? Suggestions welcomed.
