Mother's Day

We had a pretty quiet Mother's Day around here. I enjoyed sleeping in and then going for a drive and lunch at The Rock for pizza. I received a gift card for Coffee from my dad and stepmom(Thanks Again!) which I am hoarding for my next scrapbook retreat, and gift cards to my favorite store Craft Warehouse from Theo and the kids. Again I am trying to hold onto

one to use before the scrap retreat but I did have a blast using the other one on LOTS of new papers, and goodies for my Pocket Letters.  I also picked up some new flowers for our small front porch display.

Completed Crafts this week

Today I thought I would share with you the projects I completed this week and the pocket letters that I sent to Tucson as they should have been received by now along with the Thank You notes I made for my Stampin' Up customers who placed orders with me. Thanks Girls!! This week I finished 3 scrapbook layouts and one more pocket letter for a new friend. I also received 2 new pocket letters, one from a swap pal on SCS, and the other from my Amazing Sister. Thanks Steph! I took a break today to organize my ever growing craft stash, not as much fun as buying goodies or making new things but it's all part of the process.

Busy Weekend

We enjoyed another sunny and dry weekend this past week so we spent a lot of time outside. Saturday we took the girls Garage Sale Shopping and to try out a new breakfast place. Linda's Home Plate reminded us of Jerry Bob's back home in Tucson. We picked up a few crafting items and came home to grill a yummy dinner of flank steak, hashbrown casserole and steamed broccoli. Sunday we drove up to Mt. Saint Helen. The closest lookout point was closed and at the visitors center we did visit their museum was closed however we did get a few trinkets at the gift shop and some great pictures. It's hard to believe we were there just 2 weeks shy of the 35th anniversary! On the way back home we stopped at the Volcano Country Souvenir Center and took our picture with Big Foot, got to see some casts made of his footprints, and see some of the history of the area from when the eruption took place even burying an A frame house on the property in mud.

A few things

I am in the midst of another crafting burst but since those I am sending them to have yet to receive them I will hold off posting those items for now. I can share Ian's and my visit to Mod Pizza. It's been here almost as long as we have but we just got around to trying it for lunch last week. I am not a fan of thin crust pizza but these being wood fired were yummy. I also completed a Summer themed pocket page for a swap I can share, and lastly photos of what I think is some kind of Hydrangea bush in our back yard. It wasn't blooming last year so I can't tell if that's what it is or not as the blooms are small.

Enjoying the Sun while it lasts

So this weekend was the first totally dry and sunny one we've had in 2015 and we took advantage of it. We cleaned up the garage a little, grilled dinner on Saturday and took a drive up to Beacon Rock State Park just east of us. Megan and I also received some fun pocket letters from our Arizona friends Dana and Angela. Thanks Ladies they were beautiful!!

Spring Break

The girls and I were hoping to get down to Tucson over Spring Break this year but my van decided to give us some trouble awhile back so that didn't happen. Hopefully soon we will get down for a visit. To keep ourselves busy we spent as much time outside as possible although the rain kept us on our toes. We got haircuts, and played tennis and visited Dad at work for lunch. Halen got in a little driving practice too. I didn't get many photos last week but now that the sun is supposed to stick around and I have signed up for more swaps there will be more to come.
